The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing in the amount of US$100 million from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Construction of Modern Rural Housing Project (Phase 1). The project included construction 1415 modern typical houses, 33,82 km of access and internal roads, 40.53 km of access and internal drinking water-supply system in 2015-2016 in rural areas of Samarkand, Tashkent and Fergana regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as social and market facilities.
Now the Borrower intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services. The services include technical review of the constructed houses and associated infrastructures (access and internal roads, access and internal water supply system) in the framework of the Project.

The EC “Qishloq Qurilish Invest” LLC now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide specific information which demonstrate that they are fully qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).
Experience in the Technical review of the completed construction shall be required for the assignment:
Main task of the consultant includes but is not limited to, the following tasks:
· (i) Technical review of the completed houses, access and internal roads and drinking water-supply system and their design, the as-built quality of the constructed houses, compliance with the approved design, and effectiveness of the related utility infrastructure (water, electricity, gas, roads, and community infrastructure) in serving the home-buyers. The review shall be a constructive assessment to improve the quality and reduce the cost of construction of new rural houses in the near future, associated infrastructures, taking into account advances in construction technologies and materials and to explore options for greater environmental sustainability of new houses, associated infrastructures and rural communities (ii) analysis on the structure of beneficiary of houses in rural areas, and (iii) an analysis of the impact of the program to local economy
Consultants may express interests in the forms of association, validated by an agreement among members of the association which clearly specifies the type of association, i.e. a joint-venture, intermediate forms of association, or sub consultancy.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition).
